Job Title: Business Analyst (Utility Domain Exp MUST) Job ID: PCGJP00004315 Location: Danville, CA (Remote) Duration: 1 year TOP THINGS: • Analytical acumen Experience with Utility and/or Palantir/Foundry • Not too senior, so I know the candidate will stick around for a while Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Business Analyst to join the Asset Failure Analysis team. The ideal candidate will support data-informed decision-making by reviewing asset failure and historical performance data into actionable forward-looking insights. This role plays a key part in driving process improvements, forecasting, and strategic initiatives across the organization that directly impact reduction of wildfire risk and improvement of system reliability. Key Responsibilities • Analyze business data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational efficiency • Develop dashboards, reports, and models to support departments such as compliance, operations, strategy, and wildfire risk • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and measure performance against business goals • Prepare and present findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format • Support ongoing improvement of data integrity and analytics capabilities • Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and transformation for reporting and ad hoc analysis Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field • 2+ years of experience in a business analytics or data-focused role • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, etc.) • Proven experience analyzing and visualizing complex datasets • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience with the Palantir Foundry platform or similar enterprise analytics tools • Familiarity with the utility industry or infrastructure-related projects • Exposure to SQL, Python, or other data querying languages (a plus, not required) • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
