A Rebound Clinical Training Specialist provides specialty training on PTSD and related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities for both onboarding and tenured therapists. Clinical Training Specialists’ responsibilities in this role are to provide onboarding and tenured therapists with the adequate knowledge they need to diagnose and treat PTSD using prolonged exposure therapy (PE), as well as anxiety disorders, which frequently co-occur with PTSD, using exposure and response prevention (ERP).
Clinical Training Specialists demonstrate commitment to Rebound’s Mission, Vision and Values as they deliver training content. Clinical Training Specialists demonstrate internal motivation and problem solving skills as they lay the foundation for new-to-Rebound therapists’ learning. Through their interactions with onboarding therapists, Clinical Training Specialists demonstrate flexibility and creativity, time management, leadership accessibility, and up-to-date knowledge of Rebound’s policies, procedures, and practices.
Our Clinical Training Specialists deliver training in an engaging, positive, and fun manner. Clinical Training Specialists will work to create a welcoming training environment while providing a foundation of support and collaboration within each training cohort. Interactive and energized discussions, role plays and group activities involving hands-on practice will be a part of each day’s training schedule.
Our Clinical Training Specialists will hold split-role full time positions with Rebound, with the expectation of maintaining 5 clinical hours each week (direct Member care) and devoting a minimum of 30 hours each week to clinical training duties.
While our Clinical Training Specialists may be asked to offer set days/times outside of our current clinical training hours, it is required that Clinical Training Specialists are available to cover any training shifts between the hours of 11:00 a.m. EST - 5:00 p.m. EST (10:00 a.m. CST -4 :00 p.m. CST) Monday through Thursday, and 11:00 a.m. EST - 4:30 p.m. EST (10:00 a.m. CST -3:30 p.m. CST) on Fridays.*
*Please note that we offer our initial clinical training to new cohorts every 2-4 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the development and delivery of resources and training content on behalf of Rebound to support delivery of evidence-based best practice in the primary area of PTSD using PE within Rebound’s Treatment Protocol.
Providing clinical content, input and review to the design and delivery of resources and training to ensure services are clinically sound.
Developing curriculum and training packages related to mental health literacy and promotion within Rebound.
Promote and maintain a culture of continuous quality improvement across the workforce and service responses across Rebound.
Ensuring all materials related to training and education at Rebound are kept current across Rebound’s Knowledge Hub and other relevant platforms
Responding to Onboarding Therapists’ questions and problem-solving across Slack, Email, and Zoom
Clinical Training Specialists must be able and willing to lead group role plays and present interactive learning modules designed to create an engaging, fun, and upbeat environment for learning. They are expected to be able to educate onboarding therapists on all of the following topics in a clear and comprehensible manner while welcoming new clinicians with warmth and excitement.
General overview of the work we do as therapists & Rebound’s Model of Care
PTSD: Intro on PTSD, including symptomatology; DSM-5-TR criteria; Understanding Criterion A trauma and its unique impacts on the brain; Common Comorbidities; Making Differential Diagnosis.
PE: including efficacy, rationale, conducting functional assessments, hierarchy development, importance of response prevention, constructing and conducting in vivo exposure exercises, conducting and trouble-shooting imaginal exposure procedures, case vignettes,
Anxiety Disorders: including symptomatology; DSM-5-TR criteria; Understanding key features and safety behaviors of all anxiety disorders, administering effective ERP for symptoms within each anxiety disorder
Rebound Treatment Protocol: including using semi-structured diagnostic interviews to assess PTSD and comorbid disorders (i.e., PSSI-5; DIAMOND) in the First and Second Sessions, interpreting PCL-5/DASS/QLES/WHODAS, using data to inform course of treatment.

Requirements:
A minimum 2 years of therapy experience (experience with PTSD assessment and prolonged exposure therapy are strongly preferred)
Experience using measurement-based treatment approach, adherence to evidence-based treatment protocols
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and be open to working Monday through Friday
Willingness to have Clinical Leadership regularly audit delivery and implementation of all facets of Rebound’s clinical training
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
Ability to develop, implement and evaluate professional development and training activities for a variety of audiences.
Knowledge and understanding of training processes and issues related to provision of training to Onboarding Therapists.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with Onboarding and Tenured Therapists and possess the capacity to deal with the range of challenges this may present.
