Role:-ServiceNow CMDB Administrator
Duration:6+ Months Contract to hire
Location:-Remote
Must have:-
• Servicenow Discovery- Need someone who has extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting Discovery
• CI Life cycle- CI Means Configuration Item Experience
• CMDB Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Own and monitor the CMDB Health Dashboard, addressing issues related to Completeness, Compliance, and Correctness
• Identify and remediate duplicate and orphaned CIs using Duplicate Identification and Remediation (DIR) tools
• Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and CI class governance
• Utilize CMDB Workspace and Data Manager to manage and maintain high-quality CI data
• Partner closely with CI owners to validate accuracy and lifecycle alignment
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery schedules to ensure automated, accurate infrastructure mapping
• Oversee the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and IntegrationHub / ETL processes
• Ensure integrations from external data sources (e.g., SCCM, Jamf, Azure) reconcile cleanly without introducing duplicate or inconsistent CI records
• Support Service Mapping and Discovery Pattern development as needed
• Lead and support CMDB audits, validating alignment between physical infrastructure and ServiceNow records
• Enforce Configuration Management best practices and continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong hands-on experience administering ServiceNow CMDB
• Deep understanding of the cmdb_ci table hierarchy and Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
• Proven experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and IRE
• Experience supporting or integrating with asset data sources and external systems
• Familiarity with IT Asset Management concepts (HAM & SAM experience strongly preferred)
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) — Required
