Team Overview
Sales Enablement & Technologies (SET) is responsible for equipping NEC’s sales teams with the tools, data, processes and insights they need to sell effectively and efficiently. The team combines process optimisation, technology delivery and data intelligence to drive sales efficiency, visibility and sustainable growth.
SET defines and optimises end-to-end sales processes, owns and develops platforms such as Dynamics 365, Power Apps and core system integrations, and builds automations using Power Automate to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. The team ensures sales systems align with business needs and produce high-quality, well-governed data, enabling accurate downstream reporting, forecasting and sales intelligence.
Operating across all levels of the organisation, SET plays a key role in embedding a process - and data - driven sales culture across NEC.
Role Purpose
As a CRM & Power Platform Developer within the Sales Enablement & Technologies team, you will take a hands-on, delivery-focused role in building, enhancing and supporting the technology that underpins NEC’s sales operations.
Under the direction of the Senior Developer, you will be responsible for developing and improving CRM capabilities, automations, integrations and core sales system functionality, with a strong focus on reducing manual effort, improving data quality and ensuring system stability. The role centres on translating business requirements and defined sales processes into robust, scalable technical solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform and associated technologies.
This role works closely with Sales, Finance and Business Operations to ensure sales systems are aligned to operational and commercial needs, support acquisitions and data migrations, and provide reliable data for forecasting, commissions, renewals and downstream reporting.
This developer-led role is suited to someone with strong hands-on experience who enjoys solving complex operational problems and delivering tangible system improvements that directly enable sales teams to work more efficiently and effectively.
What you will be doing
You will play a key role in the delivery, stability and evolution of NEC’s sales systems, including:
CRM & Platform Development
Developing and enhancing Dynamics 365 using Power Apps, configuration and JavaScript
Supporting opportunity, account, product and sales process functionality
Improving user experience and ensuring CRM capabilities align to agreed sales processes
Automation & Integration
Designing, building and optimising Power Automate workflows
Reducing manual processes such as:Account and opportunity creation
Renewals and contract extensions
Data cleansing and approvals
Supporting integrations across CRM, SharePoint and ETL tools
Data, Migration & Product Enablement
Supporting acquisitions, data migrations and onboarding into core sales platforms
Maintaining and improving product catalogue, pricing structures and sales templates
Ensuring clean, auditable data structures that support downstream reporting and analytics
Operational & Financial Support
Supporting SAP audit, commissions and financial reporting processes
Ensuring CRM data feeds meet requirements for forecasting, planning and finance teams
Working closely with Data & Insights colleagues to ensure reliable reporting foundations
System Stability & Support
Providing second-line support for system issues and defects
Proactively improving system stability, performance and resilience
Supporting user adoption through fixes, enhancements and process improvements
Qualifications
Who we are looking for
A technically strong, delivery‑focused developer with a practical mindset
Someone who enjoys building, improving and stabilising business‑critical systems
Confident working hands‑on with CRM platforms, automation and integrations
Able to understand sales operations end‑to‑end and translate requirements into technical solutions
Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, from end users to senior leaders
Organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities
Willing and able to travel within the UK when required
Required skills & experience
Hands‑on experience with Dynamics 365 or similar CRM platforms
Experience developing with Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate
Understanding of CRM data models, entities and relationships
Experience supporting operational business processes through system solutions
Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical solutions clearly
Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider delivery roadmap
What will give you the edge
JavaScript experience for CRM customisation
Experience supporting acquisitions or complex data migrations
Knowledge of SQL, ETL tools or data integration patterns
Experience working in sales operations or business systems teams
