Job Description:
• Design, specify, evaluate, and coordinate the installation of protective relaying
• Responsible for engineering and design of relay protection and control schemes
• Provide engineering and design for metering of DPC’s transmission and distribution substations
• Review and monitor system equipment condition
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other departments
• Prepare engineering studies related to stray voltage, power quality, safety
• Perform project management duties as required
• May provide guidance to other engineers, coop students and summer students
Requirements:
• BSEE – Power Systems option preferred
• 2+ years of experience for Level II or 5+ years for Level III
• Working knowledge of AC three-phase systems
• Protective relaying, metering, computer-aided drafting
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s drawings, technical bulletins
• Adaptability to computer methods
• Engineering Economics knowledge
• Registered Professional Engineer or Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) pursuing registration
• Valid Driver’s License
