**The Role**
As a Home Based Sr. Specialist in Collections, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving complex account issues. You'll interact with guests and negotiate bill arrangements, providing a personalized and empathetic experience. Your expertise will be guided by careerzynith's credit regulations, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Interact with guests and negotiate bill arrangements for inbound and outbound collections
* Provide a personalized and empathetic experience, treating guests with respect and appreciation
* Demonstrate problem-solving skills through probing or making recommendations for handling exceptional account situations (e.g., bankruptcy, CCC, deceased, legal, fraud, billing disputes, etc.)
* Work in a multi-media environment (emails, phone calls, chat messages, and letters) that's fast-paced and requires prioritization
* Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, negotiating, and decision-making abilities
* Experience handling escalated guest complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
**About You:**
* High School Diploma or GED
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
* 1-2 years of previous customer service or guest experience
* Ability to interact with guests, team members, and internal business partners with a professional, friendly, empathetic style
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, negotiating, and decision-making abilities
* Experience handling escalated guest complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
* Strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems, and high proficiency with PC/Microsoft applications
* Access to a home workspace that is free from noise distractions
* Hardwired internet connection at your home location (using an Ethernet cable to directly connect the Target-issued laptop to the modem or router)
* Meet the minimum bandwidth requirement of 40mbps download/5mbps upload
* Ability to interact through a Target-issued internet digital camera for required meetings, training, and/or interactions
* Ability to securely lift and carry up to 25 pounds of equipment
