As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our business databases. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to gain valuable experience in data entry, customer service, and database management. **Responsibilities** As a Part-Time Remote Data Entry Clerk at careerzynith, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks: * Maintains database by entering new and updated customer and account information in a timely and accurate manner. * Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information, establishing entry priorities, and processing customer and account source documents. * Resolves deficiencies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution. * Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format. * Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures, verifying entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data. * Combines data from both systems when account information is incomplete, purges files to eliminate duplication of data, and tests customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data. * Secures information by completing data base backups. **Essential Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent * Data entry experience or related office experience * Basic computer courses may be preferred by some employers **Preferred Qualifications** While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial for this role: * Experience with database management systems * Familiarity with data entry software and tools * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Basic knowledge of database management systems and data entry software * Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At careerzynith, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
