As we scale, we’re looking for a highly organized and proactive Finance & Business Operations Manager to help strengthen the operational backbone of the company.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented operator who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and enjoys bringing structure, accountability, and operational excellence across finance, compliance, and business operations.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, external accountants, lawyers, payroll providers, auditors, and cross-functional leaders to ensure the company operates smoothly and scales effectively. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys owning operational systems, coordinating complex moving parts, and improving how a company runs behind the scenes.
What You’ll Own
Finance Operations
Coordinate month-end close process with external accountants/bookkeepers
Manage accounts receivable and invoice collections
Support accounts payable workflows and vendor coordination
Maintain operational accuracy across payroll, expenses, and financial documentation
Assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and operational reporting
Help prepare internal business metrics and investor reporting materials
Corporate & Compliance Operations
Coordinate compliance programs such as SOC2 and security audits
Coordinate SR&ED documentation and external consultants
Manage operational relationships with lawyers, accountants, insurance providers, and external vendors
Support ESOP administration and related documentation
Maintain corporate records, policies, contracts, and operational documentation
Ensure operational deadlines and compliance obligations are tracked and completed
Board & Investor Operations
Coordinate board meeting logistics and scheduling
Help prepare board decks and collect updates from team leads
Manage investor update processes and follow-ups
Maintain organized investor and corporate documentation
Operational Excellence
Build and improve operational workflows and internal processes
Help create accountability systems and operational cadences across the company
Identify operational inefficiencies and proactively improve them
Support cross-functional operational initiatives as the company scales
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
4–8+ years of experience in business operations, finance operations, startup operations, consulting, or similar roles
Strong organizational and project management skills
High attention to detail and operational rigor
Ability to manage multiple parallel workflows and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfort working directly with executives and external stakeholders
Ability to operate independently with high ownership
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in SaaS or venture-backed startups
Familiarity with accounting and finance workflows
Experience coordinating compliance programs (SOC2, audits, etc.)
Experience with HR/payroll systems and vendor management
Experience supporting fundraising or board operations
Familiarity with ESOP administration and startup legal operations

Compensation
Compensation will depend on experience and location, with a target range aligned to senior startup operations talent.
Compensation Range: $100,000–$120,000 CAD
