Fraud Analyst I - Manual Review Team

Location Remote (Phoenix, AZ), must be an Arizona resident Shift Availability Hiring for any of the following schedules: • Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun (Tue + Wed off) • Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat (Sun + Mon off) • Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sun (Fri + Sat off) • Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, Sat (Wed + Sun off) with one of the following daily shifts: • 3:00pm-11:30pm • 5:00pm-1:30am • **Onsite training Monday-Friday 8am-5pm the first two weeks*** Position Summary Fraud Analysts investigate ecommerce orders to identify fraud. Each transaction review starts with the Fraud Analyst analyzing data sources with manual web research to build a complete narrative: who placed the order, what was ordered, who will be receiving the package, and why would they want those products? When that is complete, a decision is made whether the order aligns with normal consumer behavior or fraudulent activity. The ideal candidate is computer savvy, and highly self-driven. They can quickly assess an incomplete set of details, do web-based research to fill in some of the blanks, and make reasonable inferences to come to a quick, confident conclusion. Duties/Responsibilities • Review and analyze ecommerce transaction details to decide if an order is legitimate • Develop a deep understanding of normal consumer behaviors in ecommerce • Use several web tools, combined with manual research, to identify normal transactions • Keep up to date with constantly evolving fraud techniques and best practices to combat them • Collaborate with peers regarding fraud detection and prevention activities, posing questions and providing input on methods and best practices • Adhere to company security and confidentiality policies while ensuring services remain highly available • Utilize and follow department tools and guidelines • Perform other related duties as assigned Skills/Abilities • Strong computer proficiency / computer science • Familiarity with social media platforms • Advanced web browser and search engine techniques • Comfortable working on repetitive tasks from a queue • Attention to detail • Curious and inquisitive Education/Experience • High school diploma or GED • A degree or coursework in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required Compensation/Benefits Compensation: $21.00 per hour, bonus plan Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick, 401(k) Physical Requirements • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Work Authorization Applicants must have work authorization that does not currently or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
