Position Summary
Fraud Analysts investigate ecommerce orders to identify fraud. Each transaction review starts with the Fraud Analyst analyzing data sources with manual web research to build a complete narrative: who placed the order, what was ordered, who will be receiving the package, and why would they want those products? When that is complete, a decision is made whether the order aligns with normal consumer behavior or fraudulent activity.
The ideal candidate is computer savvy, and highly self-driven. They can quickly assess an incomplete set of details, do web-based research to fill in some of the blanks, and make reasonable inferences to come to a quick, confident conclusion.
