Full Stack Software Engineer, Data (Starlink)

Description: • Develop a highly reliable and scalable enterprise data platform for petabyte-scale ingest, processing, storage, and querying. • Create new functionality and end-to-end data pipelines that improve how SpaceX operates. • Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews. • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints. • Own all aspects of software engineering and product development. • Deep dive into business problems and apply first-principles thinking to find efficient solutions. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree. • 1+ years of experience in full stack development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science. • Programming experience in Scala, Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar languages. • Frontend experience with Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks. • Experience optimizing in-stream big data processing and analytics frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Spark, Flink, or similar. • Experience with relational and non-relational databases and data lakes such as Hive, Delta Lake, PostgreSQL, or CockroachDB. • Experience with data exploration tools such as Grafana, Metabase, or PowerBI. • Good understanding of version control, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring. • Good understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and frameworks. • Willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed. • Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise be eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
