Medical Interpreter / Translator (In-Person, Remote, & Hybrid)

GD Resources LLC is seeking qualified Medical Interpreters and Translators to support healthcare facilities across the Western United States. Interpreters and translators will provide in-person, telephonic, video, and document translation services to ensure effective communication between healthcare providers and patients. • This role is ideal for certified medical interpreters who are professional, reliable, and committed to delivering accurate, culturally competent language services in clinical settings. • Key Responsibilities • Provide accurate medical interpretation and translation for patient care encounters • Interpret and translate: • Medical terminology • Diagnoses, treatments, and procedures • Medication names and dosage instructions • Informed consent discussions • Deliver services through: • In-person assignments • Telephonic interpretation • Video remote interpretation (VRI) • Written document translation • Arrive at least 10 minutes early for scheduled in-person assignments • Maintain a professional demeanor, confidentiality, and ethical standards • Ensure punctuality, reliability, and clear communication • Use human interpretation only (machine translation is not permitted) • Protect patient privacy and comply with all security and confidentiality requirements Languages Needed • Including but not limited to: • American Sign Language (ASL) • Amharic • Arabic • Bengali • Bulgarian • Burmese • Cambodian • Chinese (Cantonese) • Chinese (Mandarin) • Chinese (Taishanese) • Czech • Dutch • Farsi • French • German • Greek • Haitian Creole • Hebrew • Hindi • Hmong • Ilocano • Italian • Japanese • Khmer • Korean • Kurmanji • Laotian • Mam • Navajo • Nepali • Norwegian • Polish • Portuguese • Punjabi • Quechua • Rumanian • Russian • Samoan • Somali • Spanish • Tagalog • Taiwanese • Thai • Turkish • Vietnamese • Required Qualifications • Fluency in English and at least one additional language • Demonstrated ability to interpret medical terminology accurately • Certification from one or more of the following (or equivalent): • State Interpreter Certification / National Center for State Courts • National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) • National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) • Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) • Ability to work in clinical and sensitive healthcare environments • Strong professionalism, ethics, and cultural competence • Compliance & Security Requirements • Ability to complete privacy and information security training • Commitment to strict HIPAA and confidentiality compliance • Must not use personal or employer equipment to access restricted healthcare networks • Must follow records management and data protection requirements • Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience in: • Hospitals or clinics • Behavioral health or specialty care • Government or public-sector healthcare • Availability for short-notice (
