Multilingual Outreach & Translation Volunteer (Remote)

• *Position Type Volunteer About Us The Hilde B Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending domestic violence through technology, education, awareness, and advocacy. We work with volunteers around the world to create educational campaigns, survivor-centered resources, and innovative digital safety initiatives. As our global outreach grows, we are seeking multilingual volunteers who can help us communicate our mission across cultures and languages. ⸻ Position Overview We are looking for compassionate and detail-oriented multilingual volunteers to assist with translating, proofreading, adapting, and publishing foundation content for international audiences. This role is ideal for individuals interested in: • nonprofit work • international advocacy • communications and media • translation and localization • social impact through technology Volunteers may help with LinkedIn posts, Instagram captions, educational materials, outreach messages, awareness campaigns, subtitles, website text, and survivor-support resources. ⸻ Responsibilities • Translate and adapt foundation content into one or more target languages • Proofread AI-assisted translations for cultural accuracy and tone • Help localize messaging for different regions and audiences • Assist with multilingual social media outreach • Suggest culturally appropriate wording and phrasing • Collaborate with the Narrative & Communications Team • Occasionally help review graphics, subtitles, or campaign materials ⸻ Preferred Languages We especially welcome volunteers fluent in: • Spanish • Portuguese • French • Arabic • Mandarin Chinese • German • Italian • Hindi • Japanese • Korean Additional languages are also encouraged. ⸻ Qualifications • Strong written communication skills • Fluency in English plus at least one additional language • Sensitivity to topics involving domestic violence and trauma • Ability to work respectfully in an international volunteer environment • Familiarity with social media platforms is a plus • Prior translation experience is helpful but not required ⸻ What Volunteers Gain • Experience contributing to an international nonprofit initiative • Portfolio-worthy advocacy and communications work • Collaboration with a diverse global volunteer team • Flexible remote participation • Opportunities to contribute ideas and shape campaigns • LinkedIn recommendation opportunities for active contributors ⸻ Time Commitment Flexible.
