Join Hitachi Energy Transformers as a Regional Electrical Safety Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping a strong, proactive safety culture across North America. In this high-impact position, you will act as the subject matter expert for electrical safety, partnering with diverse teams to ensure best-in-class standards and practices are embedded across all transformer manufacturing sites.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How you'll make an impact
Lead deployment of electrical safety strategy across the NAM Transformers organization
Support sites in executing standardized safety programs and initiatives
Ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulations (NFPA, OSHA/CSA, IEC)
Act as SME in audits, incident reviews, and risk assessments
Provide guidance on LOTO, arc flash, PPE, and energized work practices
Train and mentor HSE teams, leaders, and technical staff
Analyze safety data, identify trends, and prioritize improvements
Collaborate on capital projects to embed safety from design to commissioning
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in electrical or industrial safety roles
Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA/CSA, UL, and IEC standards
Proven ability to influence in a matrixed organization
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America
