NetSuite Budgeting & Planning (NSPB) Functional Consultant Nonprofit Organization | Contract | Fully Remote Overview We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Budgeting & Planning (NSPB) Functional Consultant to lead the re‑implementation and full build‑out of our Planning & Budgeting environment. NetSuite ERP is live and functioning well; this role focuses exclusively on NSPB following a prior implementation that went live but lacks critical functionality. This consultant will act as a stand‑alone functional resource , partnering closely with our internal finance team and external implementation partner to design, configure, test, and deploy a fully functional NSPB solution aligned to nonprofit budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs. Key Responsibilities NSPB Re‑Implementation & Build‑Out • Lead the redeployment and completion of the NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB/SPB) module. • Identify gaps from prior efforts and translate assessment findings into a complete solution design. • Build and configure: • Workforce Planning module • Personnel and position‑level budgeting • Scenario modeling and multi‑year forecasting • Internal management reporting • Budget and forecast dashboards for program and department leaders • Replicate and/or redesign required custom reports currently missing from the system. Data, Security & Integration Support • Design and implement processes for personnel data loading and workforce data flow. • Review and validate security roles, access, and matrices within NSPB. • Support current NSPB data model (historical data limited to one year). • Partner on longer‑term planning for integrations with ADP Payroll and Salesforce (future‑state; not immediate build). Testing, Training & Stakeholder Enablement • Own testing cycles (functional, UAT, and regression testing). • Train finance and accounting users to ensure independence by June . • Support pilot rollout to non‑finance users by July . • Enable full budgeting cycle usage by August/September . • Provide ongoing support, optimization, and advisory services post‑deployment. Stakeholder & Partner Management • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders (Finance, Accounting, Program Leadership) and the external implementation partner. • Collaborate with internal NSPB lead (currently functioning in a PM capacity). • Communicate clearly with executive leadership, including the CFO. Required Qualifications • Deep, hands‑on experience with NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB/SPB) implementations. • Strong functional consulting background. • Accounting and finance background with applied budgeting expertise. • Experience supporting nonprofit organizations. • Familiarity with: • Grant‑based budgeting and reporting • Workforce planning in NSPB • Scenario modeling and forecasting Engagement Details • Type: Contract / Independent Consultant • Hours: ~20 hours per week (ebb and flow based on project phase) • Location: Fully remote
