What is the New Member Specialist role?
We are seeking a highly motivated, tactical, and results-driven New Member Specialist to support enrollment into our chronic care programs. This role is responsible for engaging eligible members by phone, explaining program benefits clearly, addressing objections, and moving members into enrollment. The ideal candidate is comfortable with high daily call volume, follows word tracks closely, and knows how to create trust quickly while staying efficient and focused on outcomes.
This is a remote, non-exempt (hourly) work-from-home role operating Monday through Friday.
What you’ll be doing:
Make a high volume of outbound calls each day to eligible members for chronic care program enrollment
Consistently complete 150 calls per day
Achieve a target of 6 or more new enrolled members per day
Use approved word tracks and compliant outreach language to explain the program and guide members through next steps
Build trust quickly with members while keeping calls focused, efficient, and enrollment-oriented
Clearly explain program benefits, including support from home, connected devices, and nurse-led care
Handle member questions and common objections with confidence and professionalism
Identify interested members and move them into the appropriate next step in the enrollment process
Complete live transfers or scheduled handoffs as needed
Accurately document call outcomes, dispositions, and enrollment activity in company systems
Maintain strong follow-up discipline and complete all required outreach attempts
Meet productivity, quality, and conversion expectations consistently
Work closely with leadership and peers to improve messaging, performance, and enrollment outcomes
Maintain a professional and reliable remote work environment during scheduled work hours
What you’ll bring:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years of experience in outbound calling, inside sales, call center, customer service, patient outreach, member engagement, or enrollment support preferred
Proven ability to work in a high-volume outbound call environment
Comfortable making 150 calls per day in a structured performance-based role
Strong ability to follow tactical word tracks and approved messaging
Excellent communication skills with the ability to sound clear, confident, and professional on the phone
Ability to overcome objections and keep conversations moving toward enrollment
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
Comfortable working in a metric-driven role with daily activity and conversion goals
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong personal accountability
Experience in healthcare, health plans, chronic care, remote patient monitoring, or member enrollment is a plus
Familiarity with CRM, dialer, or outreach platforms is a plus
