OpenShift Engineer (Full-Time, Remote)

Job Description: The Algorithm is hiring multiple OpenShift Engineers as full-time employees for a long-term engagement with a global enterprise client. This is an opportunity for senior Red Hat and IBM platform talent to anchor a growing OpenShift practice and work on production-scale infrastructure. About the role You will be responsible for installing, administering, patching, and upgrading Red Hat OpenShift clusters in a production enterprise environment. You will work alongside a distributed team managing Linux KVM, Fibre Channel storage, and supporting infrastructure across IBM Power and LinuxONE platforms. Key responsibilities • Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Red Hat OpenShift clusters • Administer Linux KVM hosts and virtual machine lifecycles • Manage Fibre Channel storage including LUN provisioning and multipath configuration • Support workloads running on IBM Power and LinuxONE systems • Troubleshoot cluster, networking, and storage issues in production environments • Collaborate with client teams in a distributed, remote-first setup • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational standards Required qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on Red Hat OpenShift production experience (install, admin, patching, upgrades) • Strong Linux KVM administration experience • Hands-on Fibre Channel (FC) storage administration • Exposure to IBM LinuxONE • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup Strongly preferred • Hands-on IBM Power systems experience • Experience with OpenShift version migrations and major upgrades • Background working with global enterprise clients What we offer • Full-time role with PF, health insurance, and standard benefits • Fully remote, India-based • Long-term engagement with extension and growth potential • Opportunity to anchor and grow an OpenShift practice Important note on compensation This is an India-payroll role with compensation set at Indian market rates for the skill set and experience level.
