Outpatient Mental Health Therapist


<strong>Position Summary:<br><br></strong>Provides assessment and intervention to assist clients/families to improve social and economic difficulties interfering with health and wellness through use of casework process and principles, strategies, and community resources.<br><br><strong>Essential Functions and Responsibilities as Assigned:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Maintain at least 25 billable hours /week.</li><li>Establish and maintain a supportive, therapeutic relationship with clients in a safe and respectful environment.</li><li>Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and provide accurate DSM-5 diagnoses.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized, evidence-basedtreatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, goals and presenting concerns.</li><li>Provide ongoing individual, family, or group therapy and make appropriate adjustments to treatment plans as clinically indicated.</li><li>Monitor and document client progress through regular assessments and clinical observations.</li><li>Collaborate with family members and other supports when appropriate, maintaining client consent and<br><br></li></ul>confidentiality standards.<br><br><ul><li>Coordinate care by making referrals to external providers or community resources as needed.</li><li>Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically sound documentation for all sessions and client interactions in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.</li><li>Adhere to ethical and legal standards of care, including maintaining client confidentiality and following all clinic safety and compliance protocols.</li><li>Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and otherpractice-related activities as required.</li><li>Maintain regular in-person availability at the clinic and provide limited after-school appointment times to support client scheduling needs.<br><br></li></ul><em><strong>Required:<br><br></strong></em>Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field.<br><br><ul><li>Current licensure in the State of Michigan as an LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LP.</li><li>Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.</li><li>Ability to provide individual, group, and/or family therapy in alignment with evidence-based practices.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.</li><li>Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.</li><li>Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.<br><br></li></ul><em><strong>Preferred: <br><br></strong></em><ul><li> Prior experience preferred</li><li> Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as a Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association or equivalent through the Military Training network (MTN)<br><br></li></ul><strong>Position/Subsidiary Specific:<br><br></strong><em><strong>Required:<br><br></strong></em><ul><li> Valid driver’s license, proof of valid auto insurance coverage at all times and maintain a driving record in accordance with McLaren’s corporate driving policy and eligibility guidelines.<br><br></li></ul>Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans<br><br>Additional Information<br><br><ul><li> Schedule: Full-time </li><li> Requisition ID: 26002347 </li><li> Daily Work Times: Variable </li><li> Hours Per Pay Period: 80 </li><li> On Call: No </li><li> Weekends: No</li></ul>
