Performance Marketing Manager
Location: Remote (US-based)
Experience Required: 5+ years
Type: Full-time, Salary Position
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Performance Marketing Manager to own and drive results across our PPC accounts, with a primary focus on Google Ads (Search + PMax) and Meta Ads.
This is not a “set it and forget it” role. You will be directly responsible for ensuring all paid media retainers are operating efficiently, scaling where possible, and consistently driving strong ROAS and revenue growth for our clients.
You’ll also act as the strategic lead and day-to-day owner of contractor and/or agency partners, ensuring high-quality execution, accountability, and performance across every account.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Own Paid Media Performance
Manage and optimize campaigns across Google Ads (Search, PMax) and Meta Ads (Prospecting + Retargeting)
Drive measurable growth in ROAS, CPA, and revenue
Identify and execute on scaling opportunities
Hands-On Campaign Execution
Audit, build, and optimize campaigns (structure, targeting, bidding, creatives)
Continuously test and iterate (audiences, messaging, landing pages)
Ensure proper tracking, attribution, and data integrity (GA4, pixels, CAPI, etc.)
Lead & Manage Contractors / Agencies
Act as the primary point of accountability for external partners
Set clear expectations, review performance, and ensure deliverables meet standards
Push for efficiency, quality, and results, no passive management
Strategic Leadership
Bring proactive ideas to improve performance across accounts
Stay ahead of the latest PPC trends, platform updates, and AI advancements
Apply data-driven insights to influence broader marketing and CRO strategy
Client & Internal Communication
Come to meetings prepared with clear insights, performance narratives, and action plans
Confidently present wins, losses, and optimization strategies
Share real examples of past performance and lessons learned
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of hands-on PPC experience across Google Ads and Meta Ads
Agency background managing multiple client accounts simultaneously (B2bB and B2C)
Proven track record of hitting or exceeding ROAS targets and scaling revenue
Experience directing contractors, freelancers, or external agency partners
Deep expertise in Google Ads (Search + PMax), Meta Ads full-funnel strategy, attribution, tracking, and GA4
Strong testing mindset across creatives, audiences, and landing pages
Comfortable making fast decisions with incomplete data and shifting priorities
AI & Efficiency
Fluent in AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, platform automation, scripts) and applies them to improve performance, speed up workflows, and generate insights
Treats time as a resource, always looking to automate, streamline, and eliminate inefficiency
Landing Page Optimization & CRO
Continuously assess LP performance and identify conversion bottlenecks
Partner with design and development to implement data-backed CRO updates
Use GA4, heatmaps (e.g., Microsoft Clarity), and campaign data to drive recommendations
Ensure ad-to-landing-page message consistency across all campaigns
Test LP variants across different audiences, funnels, and campaign objectives
What Success Looks Like
PPC accounts are consistently hitting or exceeding ROAS targets
Contractors/agencies are well-managed, accountable, and delivering quality work
Clear performance insights are communicated regularly
New growth opportunities are proactively identified and executed
Work is done efficiently: time is treated as a critical resource
Bonus Points
Experience in eCommerce / Shopify environments
Familiarity with tools like GA4 and Klaviyo
Benefits
Competitive salary based on experience
Medical and dental insurance options for employees and eligible dependents (Once probationary period is met)
Paid Time Off (Vacation Days, Sick Days, and Company Holidays)
Floating holidays for religious or cultural observances
Additional paid week off between Christmas and New Year’s (Leadership Discretion)
401(k) with employer matching contributions after 1 Year of employment
Learning and development opportunities
Supportive and inclusive remote-first team culture
