Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Job Description: • Sources and procures goods and services from many suppliers • Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and analyzes pricing • Evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability • Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate • Identifies opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency • Issues purchase orders and manages performance of purchase orders • Ensures compliance with public law requirements and company policies • Assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities • Ensures documentation is provided for logistics and warehouse organization • Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed • Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier management, OR a Master's degree with 0 years experience. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance. • Preferred: Active US Government Secret Clearance • Aerospace industry experience • Price analysis experience • Negotiation experience • Background in government procurement with familiarity of FAR/DFARS • Experience using SAP/S4 or similar ERP systems Benefits: • Health insurance coverage • Life and disability insurance • Savings plan • Company paid holidays • Paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business
