SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader to create a great working experience for our staff and to truly change the lives of our students in our Software Engineering Immersive program.
The Program Lead is responsible for providing high-quality service to our students and instructors under our Government department and facilitating communication and collaboration between various departments and the campus. They watch over their class of students and work with other staff to ensure on a day-to-day basis that everyone is learning rapidly and is on track for success. When a student gets a job after the program, such core teaching staff are those they thank with the deepest emotion.

Guide Instructors and Cohort Leads as they directly work with and support students as they develop the skills necessary for a successful job search and career in the software industry
Build classroom culture and community while coaching successful behaviors
Ensure exceptional relationship management with our government clients and stakeholders
Ensure student expectations are accurate, build positivity, and guide students in recognizing challenges / bumps as opportunities for growth
Work with Cohort Leads and Instructors to correctly identify and mitigate individual- and class-wide risk-factors; handle difficult issues such as impostor syndrome, group conflicts, and truancy
Maintain accurate, deep, real-time data on student technical and non-technical performance, working with other members of the instruction team as required
Deliver (often difficult) feedback to students that improve outcomes and result in positive sentiment
Support staff responses to concerns about student progress; collaboratively craft and implement developmentally appropriate and effective remedial solutions
Be the “face” of, and serve as the primary point-of-contact for your cohort, collaborating with multiple cross-functional departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth cohort operations
Clearly communicate, coach, and hold instructional staff accountable to program delivery approaches, best practices, positive student sentiment, strong academic results, and successful job placement
Serve as support and safety net for the instructional team and elevate issues appropriately
Identify staffing needs, adjusting when appropriate to reflect student enrollment and program needs
Serve as the primary hiring manager, interviewing and evaluating candidates and facilitating the training and onboarding of new staff
Manage schedules and timecards of hourly staff
Collaborate with Regulatory to manage state regulatory requirements at the local level
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises up to 10 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience in managing educational programs, OR
2+ years managing a team and 3+ years in education OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Coaching or advisory experience

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to clear the required background check
Ability to work Full-Time, generally within weekday business hours and occasionally in evenings and on Saturdays
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
A steady presence in a group setting, who is able to engage in difficult conversations clearly, compassionately, and directly, and develop a growth mindset culture
Comfortable making difficult, impactful decisions involving ambiguous situations using a systematic and collaborative process to ensure sound judgment
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong attention to detail
Thrives in high-ownership work environments and has a passion for education
Aligned with our overall instructional philosophies
Able to work with diverse staff, students, and stakeholder groups (execs, alums, partner schools, etc)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Google Apps, Slack, Asana, Zoom
Knowledge of Github
Teaching experience or a background in coaching, psychology, counseling, social work or similar work

This is a home-based position
Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $93,328.50- $100,000.00. An individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors which include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
