Fully Remote Counsel – Employment Law (No Business Development)
$135,000–$170,000 base + bonus
Fully remote Counsel role with consistent employment law work and no expectation for business development or in-person office requirements.
A national labor & employment law firm is seeking an experienced employment attorney to join its fully remote, employer-side practice. This role is ideal for attorneys who want to focus on substantive legal work within a stable national platform.
Responsibilities
• Handle administrative agency matters (EEOC, DOL, and state agencies)
• Respond to attorney demand letters and develop pre-litigation strategy
• Support single-plaintiff employment litigation and EPLI matters
• Draft position statements, pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Collaborate with attorneys, partners, and paralegals in a fully remote environment
• Deliver efficient, high-quality legal work across matters
Qualifications
• 5–7+ years of employment law experience in a law firm setting (candidates with primarily in-house or government experience will not be considered)
• Prior experience handling employer-side (defense) employment matters
• Ability to manage cases independently, including drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and supporting matters through resolution
• Strong legal writing, organization, and client communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
Bar Admission
Active bar membership in at least one of the following states is required:
Florida, Kentucky, Texas, California, Arizona, New York, or New Jersey.
Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary: $135,000–$170,000
• Bonus: up to 10%
• Billable expectation: approximately 1,500 hours
• Unlimited PTO
