What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
- Engage Directly with Customers: Connect with customers who contact us for a variety of reasons, ranging from helping them shop for their new pet, to finding that perfect chew toy, to problem-solving when something does not go as planned. - Research and Problem-Solve: Investigate customer issues thoroughly, think proactively, and determine appropriate solutions. Set follow-ups as needed to ensure complete contact resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Operate with Empathy and Understanding: Utilize active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness when engaging with both customers and team members. Foster a supportive, respectful communication environment at all times.

What You’ll Need: Essential Qualifications
- Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a professional setting, whether in retail, call center, hospitality, or related fields.

- Multi-Tasking Ability: Proven ability to multi-task effectively, such as maintaining a conversation on the phone while navigating computer systems and taking accurate notes in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer Proficiency: Strong proficiency in using computers, including data entry, rapid navigation through systems, and the ability to search the internet efficiently to find information that helps support customers.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to changes in business needs, policies, and procedures.
- Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to shift schedules and work overtime as needed to support the business unit during high-demand periods.
- Confidentiality Standards: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information at all times.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
Technical and Home Office Requirements
- Dedicated Work Area: Your work area must be large enough to accommodate computer monitors and free from distractions, including any background noise that could impact the customer experience.
- Webcam-Friendly Environment: Your work area must be acceptable for webcam use during virtual meetings and training sessions.
- High-Speed Internet: You must have a reliable, wired, high-speed internet and broadband connection with a minimum of 30 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed. - Phone Line Not Required: You will not need a traditional phone line. However, you must have a cell phone or tablet that can be used for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify.
