Position Summary
As a Remote Data Entry & APAC Payroll Operations Specialist at careerzynith, you will hold a critical dual role that combines transactional data accuracy with end-to-end payroll management for multiple APAC countries. Reporting into our regional Finance and Payroll leadership, you will serve as the operational heartbeat ensuring that hundreds of employees across the region are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with local statutory requirements.
Your day will be dynamic and rewarding — split between hands-on data entry tasks that keep our HRIS and operational databases pristine, and strategic payroll coordination work that touches every employee lifecycle moment from onboarding to offboarding. You will collaborate with team members in the Philippines, Singapore, and across the broader APAC region, leveraging tools like Workday HCM, Zendesk, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Excel to deliver flawless results at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Database Management
- Enter, verify, and update high volumes of employee, vendor, and operational data into careerzynith's enterprise systems with a laser focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Conduct routine data audits and reconciliation checks to identify and correct discrepancies before they impact downstream processes.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure data integrity across all integrated platforms.
- Maintain organized digital records and follow strict version control and documentation protocols.
- Adhere to established data governance, confidentiality, and security standards at all times.
APAC Payroll Processing
- Process end-to-end payroll for assigned APAC countries using third-party payroll vendors and careerzynith's internal Workday Host-to-Host payment systems.
- Prepare, review, and post payroll input files for new hires, salary changes, benefits adjustments, and leavers through Workday HCM with precision and care.
- Validate every payroll input against payroll output reports, coordinating with payroll vendors to implement required corrections quickly and accurately.
- Ensure timely submission of new hire and leaver documentation to payroll providers, guaranteeing full compliance with local statutory and company requirements.
- Coordinate closely with payroll vendors to confirm timely employee payouts and statutory remittances.
Reporting, Compliance & Employee Support
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reporting activities, including tax filings, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
- Monitor monthly payroll expenses, raise purchase orders, and report on payroll vendor settlement renewals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries through the Zendesk ticketing system, delivering exceptional service and clear communication.
- Partner with Philippines and Singapore team members to ensure global system alignment, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current on APAC labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements affecting payroll in countries such as Korea, Australia, and India.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and accounting operations, ideally within a BPO, shared services, or multinational environment.
- Regional Expertise: Demonstrated experience handling APAC payroll, with direct, working knowledge of payroll processes in Korea, Australia, and India considered a strong must-have.
- Technical Proficiency: Above-average skills in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Workday HCM.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to interact professionally across cultures and time zones.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing high-volume transactional work with exceptional accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with third-party payroll vendors and managing vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with Workday Host-to-Host payment systems and HCM integrations.
- Exposure to Zendesk or similar ticketing/employee support platforms.
- Knowledge of additional APAC languages (Korean, Mandarin, Hindi, Tagalog, or Bahasa) is a plus.
- Previous remote work experience with demonstrated self-management and accountability.
