Financial Controller Requirements & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 8+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, including at least 2–3 years in a Controller or senior finance role. • Experience managing financial operations across multiple entities; international (US/UK) experience strongly preferred. 25% Travel • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls . • Proficiency with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred) and advanced Excel skills. • Experience with inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing or operational setting. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment. • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred. Financial Controller Preferred Background & Skills • Experience in manufacturing, automation, or life sciences industries. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Financial Controller Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Oversee accounting operations for US and UK entities, including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and cost accounting. • Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and reports. • Lead budget development, rolling forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making. • Administer ERP system usage and maintain data governance standards across entities. • Establish and enforce strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and UK regulations. • Mentor and support finance staff while collaborating closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. • Coordinate remote financial operations and reporting with teams in multiple time zones.
