Position Summary
We are looking for a highly analytical and operationally driven Reporting & BI Team Lead to oversee and guide our reporting and business intelligence initiatives within a fast-growing medical billing organization.
This individual will initially report under the technology division and work closely with executive leadership, operations, and billing teams. Over approximately six months, the role will transition into the billing organization as a strategic operational leader focused on reporting accuracy, revenue cycle visibility, automation opportunities, and actionable analytics.
This role is critical to the future growth of the company and will become a central source of operational and financial insight across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the Reporting & BI team responsible for operational and client reporting
Develop and maintain reporting standards, documentation, and QA processes
Translate business and billing requirements into actionable reporting solutions
Work cross-functionally with operations, billing leadership, finance, and technology teams
Identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or workflow improvements
Build scalable reporting processes and dashboards using BI tools and data platforms
Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery
Act as a subject matter expert for medical billing data, reporting logic, and operational KPIs
Help shape long-term reporting strategy and operational intelligence initiatives
Assist with transitioning reporting ownership and workflows into the billing organization
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, healthcare analytics, or medical billing operations
Strong understanding of medical billing workflows, reporting requirements, and revenue cycle concepts
Previous leadership or team lead experience preferred
Experience working with reporting teams, analysts, or operational BI environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and executives
Experience with Power BI, Excel, SQL, and reporting automation tools
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within medical billing, RCM, or healthcare operations
Familiarity with KPI tracking, operational metrics, and client reporting
Experience leading process improvement or automation initiatives
Understanding of data governance and reporting validation processes
