Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician at careerzynith, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy operations. Here's what you can expect:
- Pharmacy Operations: Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state, federal, and careerzynith policy. This includes reviewing and complying with the careerzynith Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Prescription Processing: Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring data is entered accurately. Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for possible interactions.
- Patient Interaction: Engage customers and patients by greeting them and providing assistance with services and products. Resolve customer issues and answer inquiries to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Quality Assurance: Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company rules and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement programs.
- Cashier Duties: Be accountable for registering all related income on assigned cash registers, collecting and handling cash as required. Assist customers in finding merchandise in the OTC aisle when possible.
- Inventory Management: Assist and support pharmacy inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of prescription drugs. Maintain knowledge of company asset safety procedures and document claims for warehouse discrepancies.
- Healthcare Services Support: May assist pharmacists in administering medical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other medical services as required.
- Community Relations: Assist the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Department Maintenance: Assist with internal and external maintenance by ensuring the pharmacy department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat, and orderly in condition and appearance.

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
