About the position
LISA Academy’s Hybrid/Online Campus is seeking knowledgeable, student-centered educators to join our Secondary Math Teacher Pool (Grades 6–12) for the 2026–2027 school year. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with teachers working remotely on Mondays and on campus Tuesday–Friday. Our instructional model is primarily online, with structured on-site learning opportunities for students throughout the week. Teachers support students in both virtual and in-person settings, providing direct instruction, intervention, and academic support in mathematics. Under the supervision of the School Principal, the Secondary Math Teacher will implement district-approved curriculum, monitor student progress, and create a rigorous, engaging learning environment that supports student success in mathematics.
Responsibilities
• Deliver standards-aligned math instruction (Grades 6–12), which may include courses such as middle school math, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, or higher-level coursework as assigned
• Facilitate student learning within an online instructional model, while supporting on-site learning opportunities and interventions
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including students requiring remediation or enrichment
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that support both virtual and in-person learning
• Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments
• Use data to inform instruction and provide targeted interventions
• Prepare students for state assessments and ensure alignment with district expectations
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance
• Establish a structured, supportive, and academically focused learning environment
• Promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning
• Maintain student behavior expectations aligned with school and district policies
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and administration regarding progress and expectations
• Support families in understanding the online learning model and student progress in math
• Collaborate with math department and grade-level teams to align curriculum and instructional practices
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning communities, and committees
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including best practices in math instruction and online/blended learning
• Reflect on teaching practices and pursue continuous improvement
• Supervise students during on-site learning opportunities and school-day activities
• Maintain instructional materials and classroom resources
• Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership
• Utilize learning management systems, student information systems, and digital math platforms
• Use standard classroom and office technology
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education, or related field (required)
• Valid Arkansas Teaching License with appropriate Secondary Math certification (required)
• Strong content knowledge in secondary mathematics (Grades 6–12)
• Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and support student problem-solving
• Skill in differentiating instruction and using data to drive decisions
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a hybrid work environment
• Comfort integrating technology into math instruction
Nice-to-haves
• Master’s degree (preferred)
• Prior teaching experience in secondary math preferred
• Experience with online, blended, or virtual instruction is a plus
