Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst

Job Summary We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst to support core accounting operations and deliver financial insights that strengthen business decision‑making. This role blends hands‑on accounting with forward‑looking analysis and plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close processes, and preparing meaningful reports for leadership. The ideal candidate is analytical, technically strong, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, growing environment. Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts (accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll). • Support month‑end and year‑end close to ensure timely, accurate reporting. • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. • Assist external consultants by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to inquiries. Financial Analysis • Build financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. • Analyze performance trends, variances, and improvement opportunities. • Produce dashboards and leadership reports that communicate financial results clearly. • Perform cost, margin, and scenario analyses to support business decisions. Budgeting & Forecasting • Lead or support the annual budgeting process and coordinate department inputs. • Prepare rolling forecasts and analyze variances against budget. • Partner with operations to create accurate, data‑driven forecasts. Process Improvement & Controls • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency. • Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies. • Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems, tools, and automation initiatives. Education and Experience • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification is strongly preferred. • 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or hybrid roles. • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting software and systems. Technical Skills • Advanced Excel skills is a plus (financial modeling, macros, pivot tables, H/VLookups/Index-Match). • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online/Enterprise, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). • Familiarity with BI tools is a plus (Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate). • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Soft Skills • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities. • Strong communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal abilities. • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a growing environment. Technology • QuickBooks Online. • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, others). • Team Meetings (Microsoft Teams): Where team meetings will be held & communication will be handled. • Others as assigned.
