The Project Management Associate (PMA) serves as the execution engine of the PMO, driving coordination, transparency, and operational discipline across engagements. This role enables Project Directors to focus on strategic decision-making, stakeholder management, and delivery risk by ensuring that all project tracking, reporting, and day-to-day execution activities are managed effectively.
Willing to travel consistently (75%), depending on project requirements and client expectations, is required for this position.
Responsibilities
Maintain and continuously update the integrated project plan and initiative tracker, ensuring accuracy across timelines, dependencies, and owners
Coordinate and run weekly workstream check-ins, capturing key updates, actions, and decisions
Track and manage milestones, risks, issues, and decisions, ensuring visibility and timely escalation where needed
Prepare executive-ready reporting, including status updates, risk summaries, and progress toward key deliverables
Conduct ad-hoc analytics and data analysis to support project insights, reporting, and decision-making
Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, materials preparation, and follow-up actions
Support benefits realization tracking, including compiling inputs and partnering with finance and project leadership on validation
Ensure consistent use of standard templates, tools, and PMO processes across the engagement
Drive day-to-day execution discipline and accountability across workstreams, following up on deliverables and commitments
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in consulting, healthcare operations, project management, or related fields
Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously
Experience maintaining project plans, trackers, and reporting tools with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Analytical mindset with the ability to perform ad-hoc analyses and synthesize findings into clear insights
Proficiency in developing clear, concise, and executive-ready materials (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and ensure alignment on actions and deliverables
Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
Experience in healthcare settings or healthcare consulting preferred
High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Ability to operate in fast-paced environments, manage ambiguity, and proactively drive tasks to completion
Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000
Candidate must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
