Location: Must reside within 50 miles of Baton Rouge, LAOur client, a leader in telecom infrastructure, is excited to add a new Network Engineer III or IV to their growing team. This is a brand-new role designed to support expansion and continued innovation across the organization's network infrastructure. It's a prime opportunity for a senior-level engineer who thrives in collaborative, high-performance environments and is looking for long-term career stability with an organization on the rise.In this role, you'll help support and evolve a complex network environment delivering voice, video, and data services across GPON and DOCSIS platforms. You'll work alongside a skilled engineering team and play a key role in both day-to-day operations and strategic infrastructure initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Deliver, manage, monitor, and support essential network infrastructureTroubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including root cause analysisSupport customer connectivity and ensure availability of production environmentsConfigure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs in both LAN/WAN settingsCollaborate with cross-functional teams and support help desk escalationsContribute to network security initiatives and proactive threat managementMaintain network hardware, patching, and performance updatesProvide support for enterprise data center operationsRequirements :For Network Engineer III:7+ years of experience supporting complex network infrastructure environmentsExtensive understanding of the protocols and technologies including, but not limited to:
TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, STP, SIP, MPLS, HSRP, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, VRFsExtensive understanding of security concepts including: IDS/IPS, antivirus, web filtering, SSL VPN, etc.Security certification(s) are a plusExperience with VMware Network Virtualization, Cisco UCS, and cloud networking (Azure, AWS, Google)Time management and strong written/verbal communication skills1 Professional network certification (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)For Network Engineer IV:10+ years of experience supporting complex network infrastructure environmentsExpert understanding of all protocols, technologies, and security concepts listed aboveSecurity certification(s) are a plusExperience with VMware Network Virtualization, Cisco UCS, and public cloud networking2 Professional or 1 Expert-level certification(s) (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper)Strong communication, leadership skills, and excellent time management Additional Details:Remote work 4 days/week, with in-office presence required 1 day/weekMust live within a 50-mile radius of Baton Rouge, LACompetitive salary + excellent benefitsFull-time, exempt positionThis is an exciting time to join the team in a newly created role that will make an immediate impact.
