Senior Organic Growth Strategist - Link Building, SEM, SEO

Our client, a Kansas City-based senior living referral service, has an immediate need for a Sr. Manager of Organic Growth Strategy. This position will help define and enhance how the brand drives organic acquisition and product-led growth by capturing and scaling qualified, high-intent demand. This role requires deep expertise in SEO principles and mechanics, while at the same time extending into AI-driven discovery, product experience, and trust signals. Success in this role is measured by the clarity of strategy, quality of decision-making, and the team's ability to drive product impact. Sr. Organic Growth Strategist Responsibilities: • Own and evolve organic growth strategy and drive outcomes • Define and refine the organic growth strategy across products in partnership with senior leadership • Own performance or organic acquisition, including grown in reach, quality, and high-intent demand entering the funnel • Design how traditional SEO, AI-driven discovery, content, and product experiences work together as a coherent system • Identify where product and platform investments unlock durable organic acquisition and reduce reliance on paid channels • Apply strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including technical SEO, information architecture, authority signals, internal linking, indexing, and performance, to strategic prioritization • Interpret algorithm shifts and discovery changes to inform product direction and risk mitigation • Ensure SEO and discovery considerations are embedded in product planning, not treated as downstream optimization • Develop and articulate a clear point of view on how AI-driven discovery intersects with traditional search principles • Translate emerging external shifts into internal guidance, guardrails, and prioritization • Partner with Product Analytics and Data Science to size organic growth opportunities and inform tradeoffs • Define hypotheses, success criteria, and learning plans for growth initiatives • Provide leadership with clear, actionable perspectives on where to invest and where to focus • Establish a clear measurement framework for organic growth, spanning core KPIs and emerging AI-driven discovery signals Influence cross-functional alignment • Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers, Engineers, Marketing, and Brand leaders • Align stakeholders around shared definitions of SEO success, organic growth, and AI discovery readiness • Facilitate structured conversations around ambiguous, cross-domain challenges • Mentor and guide discovery-focused practitioners as the team grows • Help define roles, priorities, and operating rhythms for organic growth and discovery work • Contribute to hiring decisions and onboarding as additional capacity is added • Over time, assume direct management responsibility for organic discovery roles as the team structure evolves Sr. Organic Growth Strategist Requirements: • 8-10 years of experience in SEO, organic growth, product strategy, or related roles • Demonstrated depth in SEO fundamentals and a track record of influencing product decisions through search insights • Experience managing or mentoring other practitioners • Strong understanding of how technical SEO, content strategy, and product architecture drive organic performance • Analytical strength and comfort working with evolving, ambiguous data sets • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders • Bonus: experience with AI-driven discovery, marketplaces, or trust-sensitive domains This Role Is Not: • A tactical SEO execution role focused on audits and keyword management • A marketing channel owner accountable for campaign performance • A content production role • A delivery PM role owning sprint commitments Why You'll Love It Here: • Mission-driven work that helps families make meaningful, high-stakes decisions • The opportunity to shape organic growth strategy during a pivotal AI-driven shift • A role that combines deep SEO expertise with product strategy and team leadership • High-leverage influence across multiple products and cross-functional partners • The chance to define how SEO, AI discovery, and product-led growth evolve together In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
