ICF is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to support the design, development, and implementation of enterprise Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud environments. This role will lead technical delivery, support system modernization efforts, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with client business objectives.
LOCATION – LOCATION – Fully remote. This role can sit anywhere in the USA.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Development
Design, develop, and implement Salesforce solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, and Visualforce
Build scalable, high-performance applications while adhering to Salesforce best practices and governor limits
Develop batch, queueable, and schedulable Apex for large-scale data processing
Configure custom objects, fields, flows, and automation to support business processes
Platform Migration & Modernization
Lead Salesforce Classic to Lightning Experience migrations, including gap analysis and solution redesign
Refactor legacy components (e.g., Visualforce, Aura) into modern Lightning architecture
Support platform upgrades across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
Sales, Service, and Marketing Cloud Implementation
Implement and optimize:Sales Cloud (lead/opportunity management, pipelines, forecasting)
Service Cloud (case management, omni-channel routing, CTI, knowledge)
Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio)
Design and execute customer journeys, triggered campaigns, and A/B testing strategies
Support email deliverability improvements, including DKIM, SPF, and DMARC configuration
Integration & Data Management
Develop integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware solutions
Implement secure authentication using OAuth 2.0 and connected apps
Lead data migration activities, ensuring data quality, transformation, and integrity
Enable real-time and asynchronous data synchronization across systems
Security & Compliance
Configure and maintain Salesforce security model, including:Profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing rules
Ensure compliance with enterprise and federal requirements (e.g., data security, privacy)
Implement role-based access controls for Experience Cloud solutions
DevOps & Release Management
Support CI/CD pipelines using Salesforce DX, Git, and deployment tools
Perform code reviews, testing, and deployment validation
Conduct impact analysis of Salesforce releases and manage sandbox testing
Technical Leadership
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and administrators
Participate in architecture discussions and solution design reviews
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
8+ years of Salesforce development experience, including experience implementing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
2 or more years expertise in:Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce
SOQL/SOSL and data modeling
2 or more years of experience with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs)
2 or more years of experience in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
2 or more years of experience with data migration tools (e.g., Data Loader, Workbench)
2 or more years of experience and exposure to Salesforce architecture, limits, and platform best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:Marketing Cloud Connect and cross-platform integrations
Experience Cloud (Communities)
Middleware platforms and API gateways
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices within Salesforce
Familiarity with federal or regulated environments
Certifications (Preferred)
Salesforce Certified Administrator

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$119,323.00 - $202,850.00
