I'm an independent film director and founder of a production
company based in the Canary Islands, Spain. We have multiple
projects in development across feature film and documentary.
I have zero time to manage my online presence and need a
reliable operator to handle it consistently.
SCOPE:
- LinkedIn personal: 2 posts/week (I provide voice notes and
bullet points, you draft, I approve)
- Instagram (production company): 2 posts/week, visual-first
(you design in Canva from material I provide: stills,
behind-the-scenes, team)
- Light engagement: 20-30 min/day on weekdays liking and
commenting on industry accounts from a list I provide
(festivals, sales agents, fellow filmmakers)
- Monthly brief report: growth, top posts, engagement
PROCESS:
- Weekly 20-min check-in call (your timezone-friendly)
- Content drafts in shared Google Doc, I approve within 24h
- You schedule and publish
- Voice notes from me when something newsworthy happens
MUST HAVE:
- 2+ years social media management experience
- Portfolio with clients in creative industries (film, music,
art, design, founders, agencies) — please share links
- Fluent English (Spanish bilingual is a strong plus)
- Strong Canva design skills
- Reliable communication, 24h response on weekdays
NICE TO HAVE:
- Familiarity with film industry or strong interest in learning
- Basic Reels editing (CapCut or similar)
- Experience writing in a founder/director voice for LinkedIn
NOT LOOKING FOR:
- Agencies or multi-person teams
- Generalist beginners with no portfolio
- ChatGPT-only content writers
- Anyone who can't show real portfolio work
BUDGET: $350/month retainer for approximately 20 hours/month
of consistent work. Starting with a 4-week paid trial at $250
before committing to retainer.
Please include in your application:
1. Three (3) links to social media accounts you currently
manage or have managed recently
2. A short paragraph describing how you'd approach Week 1 with
a director/founder client who has no time
3. Write "Canary Islands" at the very top of your reply so I
know you read this brief completely
