Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Writer to support a UK-based employer in creating clear and accurate technical documentation for products and processes. This role is ideal for a South African professional who is organised, proactive, and confident working with UK teams remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support the creation of user guides, API documentation, and internal knowledge bases
Handle editing, formatting, and version control of technical documents and manuals
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones
Maintain accurate records of documentation updates, review cycles, and publishing schedules
Use relevant tools such as Confluence, Notion, Markdown editors, and documentation platforms
Support the wider team with process documentation, release notes, and training materials
Identify opportunities to simplify complex technical content and improve documentation quality
Qualifications and Experience
2+ years of experience in technical writing, content writing, or a related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
Proficient in documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, or similar platforms
Able to work independently and manage your own time effectively
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience working with UK-based clients or employers is advantageous
Must have a reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a quiet working environment
Salary: R28,000/month | 100% Remote
