Position Overview
We are seeking a contract/transaction professional with strong Sourcing/Procurement experience to support a large organization’s sourcing process. This role will partner closely with the internal Sourcing team and serve as a key liaison to Legal, reviewing and progressing agreements using a Legal-designed rubric. The ideal candidate is comfortable with light negotiation, understands when to escalate higher-risk issues to Legal, and can help move agreements efficiently through the contracting workflow.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with internal Sourcing/Procurement stakeholders to review supplier agreements and transaction documents.
• Apply a Legal-designed rubric to identify risk issues, required terms, and negotiation parameters.
• Conduct light negotiation with suppliers within approved guidelines and determine when escalation is required.
• Collaborate across Sourcing and Legal teams to support efficient, compliant contract flow.
• Help manage agreement progression through the sourcing/contracting process, ensuring clear documentation and timely communication.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience with large company sourcing processes (Procurement/Sourcing operations).
• Some experience with contract review and negotiation (note: no original contract drafting is required).
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally between Sourcing and Legal teams.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in issue-spotting and escalation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Life Sciences industry experience strongly preferred; without it, some agreements may include unfamiliar terminology and concepts.
