US Seasonal Tax-Indirect-Manager

Responsibilities • Reviewing state income tax returns and tax notices. • Working remotely in a virtual team environment. • Producing technical writing and research in a tax context. Requirements • Valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership. • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline. • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in state income tax within public accounting, industry, or state entity. • Professional knowledge in a broad range of state and local income/franchise tax processes, concepts and tools. Nice-to-haves • Knowledgeable with income franchise (corporate compliance) tax, reviewing corporate extensions, and preparing and reviewing partnership K-1 statements. • Experience in state income tax returns and tax notices. • A strategic eye toward prioritizing when working on multiple complex projects. • Influencing skills, and the confidence and curiosity to question existing processes. • A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization. • Strong team players who support their colleagues in reaching their goals while also considering their own workload and deliverables. • Genuine passion for tax, and the future of tax, and are inspired to help our clients meet complex tax obligations. • Strong quality focus, the desire to develop meaningful relationships, and the ambition to deliver above and beyond expectations.
