Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health concerns.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans and clinical interventions.
- Conduct assessments and complete clinical progress notes.
- Learn how to facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Learn how to facilitate family and couples sessions in your second year of employment.
- Provide support and guidance to individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, gender dysphoria, adjustment issues, and general stress.
- Earn clinical hours towards Mental Health Counseling Licensure
- Earn clinical hours towards Diagnostic Privilege (LMHC-D)
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling required - Mental Health Counseling Limited Permit upon start date required
- Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions through previous employment or internship
- Beginner knowledge of therapeutic models such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Solution Focused Therapy, or other counseling modalities
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work independently in a virtual private practice setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
