Windows/VMware Administrator

Job Title: Windows/VMware Administrator Location: Wilmington, DE- Remote Permanent FTE Job Description Must Have Technical/Functional Skills • Required skills - Windows , VMware, • Windows & VMware Administration • Windows clusters and other OS configuration expertise • Proven troubleshooting/critical thinking skills • VMware Infrastructure Knowledge • VMware Clustering • Hardware knowledge • iDRAC/ILO Administration • Scripting (Powershell, as example) • Automations (Server remediation, as example • Basic networking knowledge • Hands on experience on ServiceNow and ITIL processes • Experience in vCenter migration Good to have : • Backup & Storage Administration (VEEAM) • Database Administration ( Oracle & SQL Server) • NetApp administration Roles & Responsibilities • Collaborate with Site IT and configure hardware management con-soles for storage, SAN switches and servers (iDRAC/iLO/IMM). • Install and configure VMware ESXi hypervisor OS. • Connect with vCenter and create cluster configuration. • Configure vSwitches and datastores. server VMs and perform server hardening per established standards and procedures. • Collaborate with Site IT and configure hardware management con-soles for storage, SAN switches and servers (iDRAC/iLO/IMM). • Install and configure VMware ESXi hypervisor OS. • Connect with vCenter and create cluster configuration. • Configure vSwitches and datastores. • Deploy server VMs and perform server hardening per established standards and procedures. • Configure backups at VM, File or Microsoft SQL database layer. • Assist with site cutover activities. • Re-IP Compute devices as needed. • Follow the migration documentation/playbook and established de-vice roll procedures.
