Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll solutions
Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into Workday configurations
Workday payroll experience, including earnings, deductions, tax elections, and reporting structures
Develop and execute test plans for payroll functionality, including regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
Support payroll operations during implementation, parallel testing, and cutover activities
Troubleshoot payroll issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as internal company policies
Provide post-implementation support, system maintenance, and user training
Stay current on Workday releases, industry trends, and regulatory changes to recommend improvements
Qualifications
2–4+ years of Workday Payroll experience with hands-on configuration and implementation
Strong understanding of payroll processes, wage/tax calculations, garnishments, and compliance requirements
Experience with Workday modules such as HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management is highly preferred
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills
Workday certification in Payroll required
