Our team of dedicated professionals is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, and we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Experienced Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist. **Job Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist to join our team in a remote work arrangement. As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and employees, while ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical billing and reimbursement. This is a 2nd shift remote opportunity, Monday through Friday, 11:30am - 8pm CST. **Key Responsibilities** As a Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: * Providing exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and employees, while ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical billing and reimbursement * Collecting co-pays and deductible amounts * Conducting insurance verification and eligibility for services/products * Conducting patient satisfaction calls and acting as a patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns * Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of current products and services, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines * Maintaining accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data entry * Managing all aspects of initial intake, including answering the phone and receiving faxes, collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into IMBS and eIntake, printing tickets, assembling charts, and processing paperwork * Obtaining authorization and qualification documentation * Preparing complete and accurate files for Billing Department * Processing new orders, responding to questions, resolving issues, or forwarding to appropriate personnel in a timely manner to ensure patient, referral, and employee satisfaction * Processing work orders to field locations and coordinating timely fulfillment of products and services ordered * Providing product/service information and education by answering questions, offering assistance * Providing thorough review and Quality Assurance for medical necessity and documentation requirements of payors and regulatory bodies * Working extensively with eIntake proprietary system * Performing other duties as assigned **Qualifications** To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications: * High school diploma or GED equivalent required * One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment * Experience in medical field and administrative record management * Strong customer service background * Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written * Helpful, knowledgeable, and polite while maintaining a positive attitude * Interpret a variety of communications in English (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual) * Knowledge of medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement * Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information * Medical terminology * Multi-task along with attention to detail * Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills * Sense of urgency and responsiveness to physicians, location employees, and patients * Work independently and as part of a team **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong customer service skills * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** careerzynith is committed to the growth and development of our employees.
