[Hiring] Account Manager - Focus Category SMB @eBay

Role Description The Account Manager - Focus Category SMB is a pivotal role responsible for driving sustainable GMV growth across a defined book of SMB and high value sellers. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of B2C sellers, helping them achieve sustainable growth on our platform. Your mission will be to build strong relationships, provide strategic business support, and drive overall account success. • Own the commercial performance and GMV growth across an assigned book of business, acting as a trusted advisor throughout a year-long engagement. • Ensure all listings are optimized for discoverability and conversion through strong titles, item specifics, pricing, imagery, and inventory depth. • Lead structured monthly business reviews with every seller, translating performance insights into clear growth strategies and execution plans. • Use data and performance insights to prioritize actions that deliver the highest commercial impact. • Communicate the progress of business initiatives to internal and external partners, and provide multi-level performance reporting. • Support sellers via email, phone, and virtual meetings, addressing questions and providing insights. • Collaborate with internal partners to onboard new clients, solve challenges, and deliver a seamless seller experience. • Stay up-to-date on eBay marketplace trends and advocate for your clients’ needs within the organization. Qualifications • 2–3+ years of experience in account management, client services, customer success, or a similar role. • Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth in a commercially driven environment. • Confident presenter able to lead structured performance conversations. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a consultative and strategic mindset. • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for delivering measurable results. • Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems and productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce, GSuite, etc.). • Experience in eCommerce, marketplace platforms, or B2C sales is a plus. Requirements • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience. Benefits • The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below: $48,400 - $73,700. • Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. • The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable). • A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
